TANGKAHAN > ACCOMMODATION AND FOOD

Tangkahan has so far three nice accommodations, all with nice bungalows in a natural setting, along the clear river. Electricity is available between 18.00 and approximately 23.00. There is no mobile phone coverage, but sms can get through.

Rooms can also be booked through the Medan office of the Community Tourism Organization (CTO) in Medan. Especially in low season it can be a good idea to book, as the accommodations maybe need to get supplies.

The accommodations are on the other side of the river. There are two eco-friendly boats available, using the flowing water as the only form of power. For Rp. 5-10.000 you get a three day pass. One of them is owned by CTO and the other by the accommodations.
